Lake Shore Electric’s FPL Automatic Transfer Switch was designed for auxiliary power in utility substations. It utilizes molded case switches or contactors, along with highly reliable electromechanical controls, to create a dependable and straightforward design. The FPL is an open transition, no-delay switch that employs a mechanical interlock to prevent the accidental paralleling of sources, in addition to many other standard features.
