Automatic Transfer Switch Manufacturers

Lake Shore Electric's automatic transfer switches offer a reliable, safe power transition between sources. All of our transfer switches are UL 1008-listed and assembled in the U.S., meeting the highest standards of performance and durability.

What Is an Automatic Transfer Switch?

An automatic transfer switch (ATS) is an electrical device that ensures a continuous, reliable source of power in homes, businesses, and industrial settings. When the ATS detects a disruption in the primary power source — usually a utility — it automatically switches to a backup source, such as a generator. The ATS monitors voltage and transitions back to the utility once the primary power source is available, reducing the need for manual monitoring.

Critical infrastructure requiring continuous power, such as hospitals and data centers, use our industrial automatic transfer switches to protect large operations during outages or when a remote location transitions between multiple power sources.

Our automatic transfer switches are also a strong choice for residential and light commercial applications. They ensure residential customers can power refrigerators and other key parts of their homes during an outage and reduce power-outage-related downtime across companies from offices to warehouses and beyond.
